Personal Attack Alarms

Unfortunately, the dramatic increase in muggings, car-jacking, burglary and offences against the person necessitate that you take precautions (see Police recommendations below). Carrying one of our Personal Attack Alarms is a sensible precaution in situations where you may feel threatened. Keep one in your car, behind the front door (mounting bracket supplied with some models), and on your person. In an emergency step away from you attacker and activate the alarm.

We supply affordable, serious personal attack alarms, mostly manufactured for us in Britain. Please appreciate that an alarm must be convenient to carry and LOUD.  Unlike alarms available at some high street stores, typically rated at 120 decibels, most of our alarms emit a ear piercing "shriek" in excess of 136 decibels., which is actually 6 times as loud!

Aerosol / Gas Alarms

For an aerosol personal attack alarm to be effective it requires a wide canister, which allows fast evaporation and will not fade with prolonged use.

Police Recommendations

Think ahead and plan your journey, avoiding deserted areas.

Try to avoid walking alone at night, and keep to well-lit main roads where possible. You should try to avoid short cuts like alleyways, waste ground and wooded, bushy areas.

Stay alert: be aware of what’s going on around you.

It is always worth letting someone know where you are going, the route you intend to take and when you expect to return.

Consider investing in a mobile phone. (But be very careful to use it only in safe environments).

Try to avoid wearing headphones, your ability to hear traffic, strangers or potential trouble is severely restricted.
